Working Freelance

We have had a discussion in class about the different specialisms within the Creative Media sector.

There are some key things that you need to remember when undertaking this unit:

• Your blog will be used as a record of what you have learnt and can be referred back to throughout the unit in order to assist you with the tasks you are undertaking

• You will be able to view your fellow classmates blogs as they may have some information that may be of use to you

• All resources, including video's, the posters you created and useful websites are available via Moodle

• It is important that you keep your blog up to date

• It is important that you are consistently taking notes throughout this unit

• I will be posting useful information to my blog on a regular basis, therefore, make sure you are using it

• I will be able to see everything you are posting. I will comment on posts that are interesting

• Use your blog to post your own opinions/ experiences when working freelance, this could be more helpful than you think

Welcome all Year 2  L3 Creative Media Production students!

This is the blog I will be using, alongside Moodle, in order to post useful information about Working Freelance in the Creative Media Sector.

Most of the resources will be available on the college Moodle page, however, I will be posting a lot of videos, images and career opportunities to this blog.

You need to make sure you are connecting with your classmates, sharing ideas and opinions.

Feel free to have discussions on any of the posts that I put up.

If the information you are blogging about throughout this unit is effective, this could act towards your final grade for this unit.

If you have any issues with the work you are undertaking, share your queries on your blog and others may be able to advise you in the right direction.

This is an exciting unit, however it will take a lot of planning, cooperation and commitment in order to gain the best grade possible.

Throughout this unit, you need to make sure you are consistently using all of the resources provided and that you are following the assignment brief and grading criteria.

These blogs are an open forum, anything you post on them is at your own discretion. If any of the information you are posting online is inappropriate, you will be removed and face consequences.
